10 February-Teddy Day

The next day Arnav was getting ready when suddenly his phone began to beep. He knotted his tie and picked up his phone. It was Khushi she messaged him good morning. He smiled and wished her back. Then she messaged back to him

Khushi: SO what excuse are you making 2day to meet me. I already came to your office once

Arnav: Do I need an excuse to meet the love of my life? (he questioned)

Khushi: Arnavji (she blushed) No you dont but if we meet like this every one will ask us questions

Arnav: I have a simple solution for that

Khushi: What??

Arnav: How about we just dont tell them only about it

Khushi: Dont tell them (she said shocked) Arnavji if i dont tell them then i would have to lie to meet you and i can't lie to Amma and buaji...

Arnav: What the!! why not

Khushi: because Arnavji its not right ok... Seriously Devi maya will not like it

Arnav: (irritated he said) Khushi Devi Maya seriously !! look its not a big deal ok i think we should hide the relationship because we aren't ready to tell any one as yet... If we tell them then they will ask us questions

Khushi: What kind of questions (she asked softly)

Arnav: You know the marriage questions

Khushi: whats wrong with that??

Arnav: Come on Khushi we can't get married so fast we have only been dating for a few days now

Khushi: So what how does it matter, all i know is that i love you and you love me and thats all that i and its enough of a reason for me to marry you

Arnav: Khushi I can't just marry you like that ok (he said shocked) its too early and besides why are we talking about marriage

Khushi: I dont know your the one who got the topic up not me

Arnav: Me your the one who said that i want to get married and whats the problem

Khushi: (irritated she said) You know what Arnavji by the time you get ready some one else will ask my hand from babuji and then it will be too late and i dont want that to happen so you better make it fast before some idiot comes along and takes me away from you (she said taunting him)

Arnav: How dare you (he said in true ASR style) Dare any one take you away from me your mine and only mine (he roared) understand you belong only to me... even if god came down to earth to separate us i would fight with him... You are only mine.

Khushi: Yes i am only yours (she said) But for you to make me yours you need to marry me you can't just claim me yours like that only.... There has to be rituals and ceremonies and vows and our families have to be happy. Arnavji I am not pressurizing you at all but its time you thought of the future, of our future... (she said seriously) As for lying to Amma I can't alway lie to them they are my family and one day they will know the truth. (saying that she cut the phone in anger)

Arnav: (shut his eyes in frustration and banged his fists on the cupboard) Khushi is mine (he said angrily) She belongs to me no one else can even look at her she is mine, I wont let anyone take her away from me (he said to himself making a promise)

In all this confusion Anjili walked in on her frustrated brother who was just looking so annoyed with everything she came and sat next to him and lovingly caressed his face and asked in a sweet tone

Anjili: What happened Chottey all ok

Arnav: Hmm yeah di all good (he said pretending)

Anjili: When will you stop lying to me Chottey (she said in an obvious voice)

Arnav looked at her blank... and Anjili said

Anjili: I know your angry with something

Arnav: Di woh (he was caught so he fumbled)

Anjili: tell me Chottey what is the matter (she asked in an understanding voice)

Arnav: Di why is marriage such a big deal, I mean they are just a reason for people to come and eat free food (he complained)

Anjili: (chuckling she said) Hmm Chottey marriage is an institution of love... When you marry some one you make promises of love to that person.. bonds that come from your heart... Its not about the world or people its about you and the person you love... Marriage strengthens love and binds two people into one holy sacred thread that can not be broken for eternity....

Arnav listend to his sister keenly and then Anjili asked him

Anjili: But why are you so interested in marriage Chottey is there some one who you want to marry (she said in a teasing tone lifting her eye brows)

Arnav: What the!! no di there is no one (he justified) If there was i would have told you

Anjili: Hmm ok i trust you (she said smiling) anyway aren't you getting late for office

Arnav: yeah i am

Saying that he picked up his case and left for work and Anjili stood behind and said to herself with a smile: Its working


He reached the office he was in a terrible mood his mind was on Khushi he knew she was angry and upset at him and he couldnt stand that at all. It was eating him from inside and it was annoying him like crazy. he couldnt stand her being angry at him. He tried her phone a couple of times but she cut the call he tried calling the house line but buaji picked the phone up.. This was eating him from within that she was so upset... Aman walked in with a bunch of Files Arnav was in great thought.. Aman started to speak about the files

Aman: Sir this is Sharmaji's files please look into them i have made some changes in the contract clauses

Arnav:(wasn't bothered he looked up at Aman and asked) Aman...

Aman: Yes sir

Arnav: If Shyla was angry with you how would you convince her not be angry with you

Aman: (shocked) SIR!!

Arnav: Oh come on Aman its a simple question how would you get her to be normal with you again

Aman: (nervous he said) i would say sorry if it was my fault and if she doesn't listen i would by her something special...

Arnav: Like what ?? Diamonds

Aman: Depends how angry she is with you sir... usually i gift Shyla simple things like chocolates or flowers she likes teddy bears too..

Arnav: teddy bears are you serious.. isn't that for kids (he said raising his eye brows)

Aman: (chuckled but then said seriously) Sir you know it sounds kiddish but i tell you it works like a charm even diamonds dont do as much damage control the way these stuffed animals do.

Arnav: Really (he said interested) tell me more

Aman: You buy them these teddy bears and they go all gaga on you all the anger disappear seeing that cuddly toy because it looks so cute and cuddly and they melt like that

Arnav: (gave out a breath and said) Thanks Aman.. Do me a favor go down and buy me teddy bears of all the colors possible buy the best ones and have them put in my car... DOnt bring them here i dont want any one to know what i am up to. I will leave office in 30 mins and Aman....

Aman: Right sir dont worry i wont tell any one about our conversation..

Arnav: Great (he said with his perfect ASR look)

Saying that Aman left his chain scratching head and smirking looks like his boss was in love.. He went down to by him the teddy bears. Mean while Arnav geared up to get his Khushi back to normal.

It was now around 5 pm... Khushi was in the kitchen making her jalebies... She was so sad so angry and so irrupted that laad governor was such a pain... On one end he loved her and on the other end he refused to marry her... What logic did that make... he is such a silly fool she cribbed to herself as the mountain of jalebies kept increasing... Luckily no one was home today Buaji Amma and Babuji had gone to the Ayurvedic center for Babuji and wont return till late night she was all alone at home...

As she removed the next batch of jalebies she heard the honk of the car. She came to the window and saw Arnav in the car... She turned around and went inside... She sat on the sofa with a piece of jalebie in her hand and said 2 herself

Khushi: Laad govenor

Then she saw her phone ring it was him irritated she picked up the phone

Khushi: hello

Arnav: Hi (he said cutely)

Khushi: What do you want

Arnav: You to not be angry with me (he said smirking)

Khushi: Arnavji i am not going to forgive you so easily ok (she said with her hand on her waist as she came out and stood in the veranda and he saw her)

Arnav: You look so cute when your angry for one that your nose is still red

Khushi: Arnavji (she hissed at him)

Arnav: So aren't you scared that buaji and all will see me outside your house (he raised his eye brows)

Khushi: They are not at home

Arnav: So why didn't you tell me before

He cut the call and came out of his car he had a bang in his hand it looked like a big bag... Khushi stood there on the porch with her hands stretched stopping him

Khushi: You can't come in

Arnav: (smirked) why not

Khushi because i said so... Arnavji go away

Arnav: Do you really want me to go away

Khushi: (cribbing) No

Arnav: good so lets go in before your pesky neighbors make a big deal about you being with me

They went inside and then Arnav sat on the sofa and Khsuhi sat next to him. She asked in a curious voice

Khushi: What is in that bag

Arnav: (smirking he said) That is a gift

Khushi: For who (she asked)

Arnav: For this girl who is angry with me... I am trying to make her feel better

Khushi: (smiling) Who is that girl

Arnav: (raising his eye brows he said) You

Khushi: (fully excited said) Oh show me what is it

Arnav brought the bag ahead and removed the teddy bears one by one... there were 4 teddy bears in different colors each had a message on them.... Khushi looked at the stuffed animals and squealed like a kid

Khushi: Awww these are soooo cute.... Arnavji..... Look at them

Arnav watched as his girl friend went gaga on a bunch of stuffed animals... then he said

Arnav: (taking her hand he said) Khushi i know you want to get married but listen me baby i think we should wait for a bit i am not saying no but i am saying a little bit of time thats all..... (he explained)

Khushi: So couldnt you say this in the morning as well for no reason we fought

Arnav: I am sorry my love...(he said cutely)

Khushi: Its ok Arnavji (she smiled) And i loved your presents so your forgiven (she said hugging the bears) I am so happy you bought me this and not some cliché gift like diamonds this is so much more meaningful..... (she smiled)

Arnav: (smirking he said) Wow Aman was right... this does better damage control then the diamonds (he chuckled and said under his breath)

Khushi: Arnavji did you say something (she asked confused)

Arnav: (raising his eye brows he said) No no  i am just glad you like the gift

Khsuhi: (smiling she said) I love you Arnavji

Arnav: I love you too princess (he said smirking)
